Our Opinion Stands

5 Nov

I just remembered that a certain Shopping Spree organizer that we did a review on send an email to Cyrene, asking her to remove our review on them. Yes, for those who guessed it, the review is a negative one. It is just the way it is, if you cannot afford to have negative comments or reviews, then don’t render out below average services. It is common sense, I would say. Therefore, I told Cyrene to reply the spree organizer that our review and opinion stands and will not be deleted. Better shopping spree organizers deserved to be praised while lousy ones need to be criticized. I don’t really care even if they don’t want to give me a backlink. It is just not right to mislead my readers with misconceptions.

If you can’t take the criticisms, then don’t give us the chance to do that!

Another thing worth mentioning will be that, Orinity will focus more on Online Shopping rather than Making Money Online. I feel that leaving that to John Chow and Shoemoney seem to be more appropriate.

Cocoa Craze – Candy Empire

3 Nov

Cocoa products – read: CHOCOLATES, that is.

The previous times I spend on a whole lot of chocolates was as a welcome gift for Blue whom I had introduced to work in my current company and for my other darling Angie for a basic cheering up gift. This time, I spent the highest amount of chocolates – for myself.

I don’t know why I bear to spend so much on such ‘luxurious goods’ on myself, but I can guess the reason: I wasn’t in the best of moods a couple of weeks ago and chocolates seemed to be the immediate perk-up solution to whatever crap I was facing.

And so it goes, I spent about S$40 at Candy Empire (2nd outlet at: http://www.yebber.com/review/candy-empire-vivocity/) outlet at Millennia Walk.

Cadburry Eden

The dark chocolate is slightly bitter but the milk chocolate centre is nothing to rave about. Basically, it didn’t even taste like milk chocolate but a texture more like praline. And this box (of 16 pieces) costs me S$13++! Expensive for a box of not-so-fantastic chocolates.

Trefin Bundle

This box bundle from Trefin tastes more appealing (and price appealing) as compared to Cadburry’s Eden! Box of 3 (I finished the box of chocolate hearts) for S$7++. A pity that each box only has 6 pieces which makes it kind of difficult to share around a big group of colleagues.

Pods with Snickers.

I was kind of disappointed to see that the packaging had changed from a box to this kind of wrapper that reminds me of potato chips’ packaging. The change was probably made to make the contents of the chocolates more as I notice a significance increase in price too *rolls eyes*. About $8.60.This would be my second pack of Pods. The first time was when my girlfriends bought for me to try and I ended up aggravating my sensitive teeth. There are other flavours like Pods with Mars Bar and Pods with chocolate mint, but I still prefer the Snickers flavour because I love chocolate with peanut butter.. Which brings me to this..

Reeves Buttercups.

My absolute love! A manager bought a pack for us to share when she came back from America. I was in heaven! There’s another brand which my girlfriend bought. However, this Palmers’ Peanut Butter Cups are only brought in by Jason’s Supermarket specially for events such as Halloween. Back to this Reeves brand – 2 buttercups for a hefty S$2.80. Blue says she saw caucasians buy them by the whole box! 2 boxes even!

PageRank Update Aftermath

2 Nov

For webmasters, Google PageRank is a mean to give a ranking their websites based on Google’s point system. My other website, AnimeArk, is a PR4 website. Orinity is still relatively new so we are still a PR0 for the time being. Every few months, Google will update their PageRank systems accordingly. However, the latest update caused quite a big commotion in the webmastering and blogging circle. Apparently, many established bloggers and webmasters got slapped in the face by Google with drops in their PageRank. John Chow‘s blog dropped from PR6 to PR4 and Mubin Ahmed‘s got dropped from Google’s search results which is even more puzzling. I would say that Google PageRank system is almost rendered to the point of being as useless as Alexa’s traffic ranking.

UPDATE: It seems that Google made a mistake with Mubin Ahmed‘s blog so he is back on Google’s search results.

Mad About Bags

30 Oct

UPDATE:

My overseas colleague broke my heart (and my confidence) saying that her suppliers no long carry the bag designs I wanted. The designs were one year ago, and the suppliers didn’t have balance stock left.

!!! I got them from american online sites! Which is updated!

ARGH!!

But then, there is still hope. My colleague is heading over to Guangzhou, China, this Sunday on a business trip. She promied me to help me keep a lookout. She is one of the more dressy people I know, and she works in Louis Vitton before… Haha. So I need her past expertise.

*****

Ever since a colleague of mine mentioned her acquaintance had a *ahem* discount on Guess bags, my darling girlfriend and I went a bit crazy. Initially, I did not manage to get anything for myself because ‘the more you look, the harder it is for you to find something theory’ applies very much to me. My girlfriend however, didn’t have this problem and she had her sights set on a small red shoulder bag almost immediately. As for me, I saw a potential buy only a week later while having my dinner at a nearby mall. The bag looks much better in real life though.

My Guess Bag.

I am waiting for the arrival of this new bag into my life next month (I’m totally broke this month)! Can’t wait! Not getting. Decided I didn’t like it the more I see it.

In additional to this bag, I was actually planning to send some bag pictures to an overseas colleague to ask her to get me some bags. However, it is always a case of the colour not being the one I wanted, or the material is different. Sigh. She says she will check out more stores tomorrow. She is such a great colleague! Anyway, one of the bags which I actually wanted was this. I still couldn’t make up my mind which colour I prefer though. Probably let heaven decide as to which colour my colleague manage to find.

The Dior Cannage bag in purple and pink:

Dior Cannage Bags.

Burberry’s Patent Beaton tote bag in red!

Burberry’s Patent Beaton bag

Burberry’s Patent Manor bag in white. Simple yet dressy enough.

A Red Patent bag from LV.

LV Red Patent Leather bag

And my top 2 favourite bags would have to be:

Burberry’s Plaid Canvas Tote bag! Absoutely the bag for going to the beach or weekends! I LOVE!

This LV speedy!! The brown is so… It reminds me of some packaging for really dark chocolate. Haha.

LV Monogram Mini Lin Speedy

I do hope my colleague manages to find at least a couple of bags on my list… Wish her luck!
