Thanks to Wendy for the heads up that there’s going to be 9 long weekends in 2010! Yes, there will be 9 LONG weekends!

I decided to look them through and here they are:
New Year’s Day – 1 January (Fri)
Chinese New Year – 14-16 February (Sun – Tue)
Good Friday – 2 April (Fri)
Labour Day – 1 May (Sat)
Vesak Day – 28 May (Fri)
National Day – 9 August (Mon)
Hari Raya Puasa – 10 September (Fri)
Deepavali – 5 November (Fri)
Hari Raya Haji – 17 November (Wed)
Christmas Day – 25 December (Sat)

*Do note that Deepavali is subjected to change usually.

There’s actually 7 long weekends if you work/study 5 days a week and 9 for those pitiful souls who are working on Saturdays.

I will be continuing to bring in more stocks due to the demand. You can subscribe to our email updates to be informed of any sales or promotions. Don’t worry, I am not a spammer.

The Hollywood Fashion Tape Promotion!

After the success of the previous Hollywood Fashion Tape promotion last year, Orinity.com is linking up with our own supplier and bringing you the Hollywood Fashion Tape with its new packaging at a much lower rate. Department stores like TANGS are selling each box at S$19.90 and Glamourpuss is selling at S$19.95 per box! You can get it here at S$9.90!

The Packaging & Product
Hollywood Fashion Tape Tin OpenedHollywood Fashion Tape

The new metal packaging includes a tin so you don’t have to worry about flattened boxes and carrying your fashion tapes loosely like plasters.

The Hollywood Fashion Tape is an easy-to-use, clear double-stick, “do everything” apparel and body tape! The specially formulated adhesive is gentle on the skin, hypo-allergenic and leaves no residue on fabrics. The clear tape doesn’t cover up the skin’s natural colour and is more discreet and fabric-friendly than safety pins.

How does it work? Each strip of tape contains a removable backing on each side. You simply peel the backing from one side of the tape, press the tape firmly to your skin or fabric, remove the other backing, and apply the item to be secured. It’s as easy as peel, stick and go!

Some of the uses of the tape include:

  • Hide bra straps
  • Secure revealing necklines
  • Hold up strapless tops
  • Eliminate blouse gaps
  • Fix hems fast
  • Close wrap skirts
  • Keep scarves and accessories in place
  • Create costumes
  • Adhere body jewels
  • Anchor shoulder pads

Still Not Convinced?
If you are still not convinced, check out the review on Hollywood Fashion Tape done by Cyrene a while back.

Authenticity
The item you are purchasing is 100% authentic and shipped through a supplier of Hollywood products from the USA. The price you will be paying is considerably lower than stores in Singapore due to bulk purchase and the lack of a store front since Orinity.com is operated purely on an online platform. A guarantee is in place to ensure that replacements or refunds will be made for any defective/non-authentic items.

Price: S$9.90 per Box (36 strips in tin)

What is Marketing?

Filed under: Interesting, Internet — Francis Sim at 10:06 am on Thursday, April 9, 2009

I received these jokes a while back on my email and thought that I should share them on Orinity. As a student whose major is marketing, they are pretty funny. Enjoy!

  1. You see a gorgeous girl at a party. You go up to her and say: “I am very rich. Marry me!” – That is Direct Marketing
  2. You’re at a party with a bunch of friends and see a gorgeous girl. One of your friends goes up to her and pointing at you and says: “He’s very rich. Marry him.” – That’s Advertising
  3. You see a gorgeous girl at a party. You go up to her and get her telephone number. The next day, you call and say: “Hi, I’m very rich. Marry me.” – That’s Telemarketing
  4. You’re at a party and see a gorgeous girl. You get up and straighten your tie, you walk up to her and pour her a drink, you open the door (of the car) for her, pick up her bag after she drops it, offer her ride and then say: “By the way, I’m rich. Will you marry me?” – That’s Public Relations
  5. You’re at a party and see a gorgeous girl. She walks up to you and says: “You are very rich! Can you marry me?” – That’s Brand Recognition
  6. You see a gorgeous girl at a party. You go up to her and say: “I am very rich. Marry me!” She gives you a nice hard slap on your face. – That’s Customer Feedback
  7. You see a gorgeous girl at a party. You go up to her and say: “I am very rich. Marry me!” Then she introduces you to her husband. – That’s the demand and supply gap
  8. You see a gorgeous girl at a party. You go up to her and before you say anything, another person come and tell her: “I’m rich. Will you marry me?” and she goes with him – That is the competition eating into your market share
  9. You see a gorgeous girl at a party. You go up to her and before you say: “I’m rich, marry me!” your wife arrives. – That’s restriction for entering new markets

The $2.5 Million iPhone

Filed under: Interesting, Shopping, Technology — Francis Sim at 3:26 pm on Monday, March 2, 2009

Bedazzled iPhone

Despite the ongoing recession and people’s investment portfolios at next to worthless, Austrian jeweller Peter Aloisson decided to create the most expensive iPhone 3G, the “Kings Button”. I am pretty sure this iPhone is the only iPhone with that much bling-bling on it. The price tag? A freaking $2.5 million (S$3.875 million)!

The home button is bedazzled with a 6.6 carat diamond and the case is remade out of solid 18-carat yellow, white and rose gold. What’s more? The jeweller finished off with a case outline of a white gold line encrusted with 138 diamonds “of the best quality”. Are you even tempted?
