Hollywood Fashion Tapes

Filed under: Fashion, Online Shopping — Cyrene Teng at 11:13 pm on Monday, January 14, 2008

Have you ever bought a really nice dress and was preparing to wear it for an event, only to discover at the very last minute that the dress is so much more low-cut than that time you first tried it on? Happens to me all the time! Well, I have learnt to be smart, and now’s your turn.

Hollywood Tapes

I present you:

Hollywood Tapes

Hollywood Fashion Tape is no-fuss clear adhesive tape, which is really so much more convenient and useful compared to safety pins. Don’t even get me started on my experience with safety pins - They just spoil the appearance of my outfit and the outfit itself. I have encountered enough embarrassing situations about wardrobe malfunction (there’s no Nipplegate incident, fortunately) such as having my friend nudging my friend (who was sitting beside me), who whispered to me that my scotch-tape was showing. Yeah, go on and laugh. I have attempted to put safety pins, scotch-tape (folded so that the tape stick both ways) and even having those thick green double sided tape taped onto my skin. Ouch!

Those days are over!

Each strip of Hollywood Fashion Tape has a removable backing on each side. All you have to do is to peel off one side of the tape, press the tape onto the area you want to secure, remove the other backing and stick it onto the other surface. The tape’s adhesive is hypo-allergenic so no worries on getting rashes, but do be slow and steady when removing the tape as the adhesive is really sticky. I gave some strips (from my second pack) to my girlfriend to secure her tube, and she immediately exclaimed, “So secure! Why didn’t you give me earlier?” after sticking it on.

You could check out Pigletshopz for their Hollywood Fashion Tape promotion at Pigletshopz’ Yahoo Auction Page and the tape’s scope of usage. Being a Orinity reader, you are entitled to exclusive discounts!

The Usual Price for a box of 36 strips is S$13. How do I know? Well, I paid that price before! If you click on the Yahoo Auction Page, you will notice that it is now going for S$11.50 + $0.30 postage = S$11.80. HOWEVER, Pigletshopz has agreed to allow Orinity readers to purchase the box of 36 strips for S$10.50, INCLUSIVE OF POSTAGE! That’s a real good deal, isn’t it? All you have to do is to email Pigletshopz at pigletshopz@gmail.com with the subject header, “Orinity Readers Promotion” and you will enjoy this special price, all inclusive of postage!

Promotion ends on the 27th January 2008, which is next Sunday. If you feel that 36 strips is too many, you can also be like me, buy 6 strips first. The only difference between you and me buying 6 strips, is that I definitely paid more than the price being offered now, which is S$2, INCLUSIVE OF POSTAGE!

What are you waiting for? Put an end to all the embarrassing moments!

Filed under: Fashion, Online Shopping — Francis Sim at 1:47 pm on Monday, December 31, 2007

People who know me well will know that I fancy G2000’s style of clothings. That’s what I call proper clothes fit for self-loving men. G2000 is currently having their end season sale until 6th Jan, Sunday. Discounts are up to 50% according to their ads. Why am I doing an entry on that when everyone can see? It is because I can get you an extra 10% off!

Some people find MSN’s flash advertisements to be irritating which I totally agree but I felt compelled to see through an advertisement a moment ago and saw the diamond in a pool of mud. So, here’s the coupon for your enjoyment. Do give me a comment or a pat on my back for my efforts! Now, go save the coupon and print it out!

Sales At Victoria’s Secret

Filed under: Fashion, Online Shopping — Francis Sim at 9:30 pm on Friday, December 28, 2007

I don’t normally cover a lot on shopping sales but I feel that the current sale at Victoria’s Secret will be worth the while. Victoria’s Secret is currently having their semi-annual sale with up to 50% off on select styles. Choose from over 250 styles of shoes with prices up to 50% off. Select sleepwear are on sale from 25% to 60% off so what are you waiting for? One important thing to mention is that Victoria’s Secret ships internationally but shipping to Singapore carries a one-time charge of around US$24.00.  So, it will be more worthwhile if you are buying several items to save more and get better bang for the buck.

LiveJournal - Behind Her Closet

Filed under: Online Shopping, Reviews — Francis Sim at 12:32 pm on Wednesday, December 19, 2007

Behind Her Closet is a LiveJournal web shop that sells mainly accessories. It is run jointly by one of my friends in university but I will keep my neutral stand in my review on their collections. So far, I have noticed that their collections sell pretty fast and many items on their main page are tagged with a red ‘SOLD OUT’. However, BHC does offer remakes so it is no harm sending them an email to see if they can accommodate you.

BHC has their own mailing list so it is helpful to subscribe and get updates sent to your email. I dropped by to check out their collections once in a while and I can’t help but notice that many of their products are of vintage theme. It is not to say that BHC is a vintage accessories shop but rather it’s their main focus. I do see some interesting accessories on their main page most of the time. I do like the style of some of their earrings but it is a pity that my girlfriend don’t fancy such earrings. So, don’t be afraid to check them out and purchase their collections. At the rate Behind Her Closet is growing, I am pretty sure that BHC will be quite as popular as Edynae.

The Sweetest Things In Life

Filed under: Fashion, Online Shopping — Cyrene Teng at 9:00 pm on Friday, December 14, 2007

I bought from this online seller Sweet Little Corner during my initial phrase of online shopping a couple of years back. I will only mentioned very briefly about my experience with her, as I do not want potential buyers to abuse her helpfulness.

I had bought a pair of earrings from her, and although due to some unforseen circumstances which could have resulted in an unpleasant situation, she does not shift the blame and even offer me alternatives willingly. From this incident, she had gained my trust completely. I know I might have mentioned it before in my previous entry about spree organizers, but I still want to highlight that if you want to purchase anything from the organizers I mentioned, please be a sincere and reasonable buyer. I do not hope to create unpleasant experiences for the organizers.

Sweet Little Corner is now having an online Flea Market promotion from now till the 23rd of December, which is next Sunday. Discounts are offered for new items as well, with sales items going at more than 70% discount. If you prefer to view her yahoo auctions, you can do so HERE, although I would urge you to go to her website, as a wider range is displayed there.
